Ground Disturbance 2 is an entry-level course for workers, supervisors and coordinators who plan, approve or carry out digging work in British Columbia. It follows a ground disturbance from the first hazard assessment through locate requests, marking, permits and hand exposure, and on to backfill, restoration and damage reporting. The course explains legal duties under the Workers Compensation Act, the role of the prime contractor on multi-employer sites, and the requirements set by regulators such as WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC. It closes with a review and a final exam.
